Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most well-known roles are Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. She landed her debut role in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) along with her. Grace left the television series in the year 2005, to take on an even more prominent role in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. The actress starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. The same character was played by Grace on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes, playing Shannon. In 2013 she appears in the sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for the stars and catches the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit more senior in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career as a teenager with small appearances in her father's films and appeared together with her brother in popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a film) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. She starred in several commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008).
