MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected by his global reach. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN the first of his long-players with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year he became part of Ozuna on the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He worked alongside Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. In 2021 he recorded a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, because both his mother and his older brother are musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory part of his life. As a child, he was taught to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. At first, he wanted to become a vet, but after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with an Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
