Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to America in 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classical Latin American music at private performances. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana has also been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations in keeping the music in the present.
